DUTIES SUMMARY
Designs and produces selected thematic map data and applications of moderate difficulty and complexity and participates in the design and maintenance of the GIS database; and performs other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in physical or natural science, geography, engineering, planning, computer science or a related field, and one (1) year of experience using GIS software in the design and production of thematic maps and other applications. (Present or submit evidence of training, e.g., diploma or official transcript stating course of study.)
License Requirement: Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Hawaii (equivalent to Hawaii Type 3). (Present or submit copy of driver’s license at time of application.)
Class Specification
Citizenship and Residence: All persons seeking employment with the government of the State or in the service of any county shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States at the time of their application for employment and shall become residents of the State within thirty (30) days after beginning their employment and as a condition of eligibility for continued employment. You must provide evidence verifying your citizenship or alien registration status and employment authorization in the United States at the time of application.
