SALARY - $2,702 per month (SR-14)
DUTIES SUMMARY: Performs a variety of difficult clerical work in a police communications operation; receives training in police radio dispatching methods and procedures; and performs other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of radio telephone or telephone switchboard operation, dispatching, public contact or clerical/technical supervisory work experience, including or supplemented by experience which demonstrates proficiency in typing and/or computer keyboarding techniques and skills. Psychological Test . . . . Qualifying (Pass/Fail) The psychological test, conducted by the Department of Police, will be administered on the Island of Maui only. This test will be administered only for individuals who pass the written test.
Drug Screening Test . . . . Qualifying (Pass/Fail) The drug screening test, conducted by the Department of Police, will be administered on the Island of Maui only. The drug screening test will be required only for individuals selected for a position with the Department.
As part of the selection process, the Department of Police will require that an applicant fill out a Police Department "Personal History Questionnaire" to investigate your character and background. The information you provide will be verified.
